WORDS OF INSPRATION

FALL 2009

Quick Change

Fall is in the air and boy did it come early this year in the Northeast!  It seems as if though Labor Day weekend was the signal for autumn's arrival even though it wasn't due until late September.  I for one am glad it is her because it is teaching us all a wonderful energetic lesson in two parts.

Part one would be for us to settle down and listen to nature as she speaks.  This could be the wind in the trees or your own highter self inner voice which has been trying to get your attention!  Part two is that quick change is possible and you can decide to switch gears at any time to better yourself and keep in tune with your bio rhythms just like mother nature does!

Remember.... going from "summer to fall" isn't as hard as you think.  Just follow your Guidance System and be amazed!

SUMMER 2009

Busy as a Bee

Summer time is always filled with so much to do.  Vacations, family gatherings, weddings, barbecues and parties can keep us going like the bees from flower to flower, but we should always take time for ourselves and don't forget to breathe!

I find scheduling meditation and down time really helps me to do it!  You all have a calendar whether in your head or on paper so remember to put in "me time" and stop long enough to focus and regenerate!  Making time for yourself will energize you and make you feel more vibrant and in turn you will have mor stamina to enjoy all of the fun things summer brings us!

So head to your calendar, schedule the time and stick to it.  Watch how good you feel!

Appreciation

As we go forward on our path in life, we must realize and be thankful for all that we have and feel.  There are many times that we receive abundance, but do not acknowledge it and complain instead.  Look for it in the simplest things and turn the negative voice into a positive one by finding what you appreciate in everything!

In the rain, I see the beautiful green it brings to the grass and trees;  In traffic, I see the time I have to myself to meditate; In my significant other's bad habits, I see my spiritual growth;  In frustration, I see my internal guidance system working;  In tough times, I see the opportunity to enjoy the little things in life....

Now it's your turn... use this exercise with every perceived obstacle in your life and watch your spirit soar!

SPRING 2009

Spring is in the Air!

Even though the air temperature seems a bit slow to realize what the budding trees and blossoming flowers know, it is definitely Spring time in the Northeast!  We can slowly begin our own emergence from winter slumber and start to awaken the spirit inside.

Take some time to make a list of all of your desires for the coming months and get outside as much as you can to breath in the fresh air.  Cleanse the unwanted energies as you exhale and feel the excitement of things to come.  No matter what your circumstance, find the good in it and appreciate all that you do have so that you may attract to yourself all that you would like to have.

Use the lessons of nature to help you along your path by witnessing the ease in which all it unfolds.  Practice the art of allowing and watch your seeds grow!

What goes "Down", must come "Up"!

For most of you, this saying may seem a bit reversed, but I am a firm believer in the "glass half full" attitude so I hope you will jump on the wagon with me!  In case you haven't noticed, the market seems to be in an upward swing!  Do I dare write about it or should I be holding my breath?

I have enough faith in the "good" of this world and the determination of the many people living on it that I will choose to see this as a sign of improvement and will continue to send out positive energy.  May I ask that you all do the same?  It is imperative that we choose to see things in a different light and choose our thoughts carefully these days.  Whether you are a believer or not, we are all co-creators of "the times we're in" and we have the chance to re-create them together!

Keep your chin up and always face the direction you wish to go in!  May it be a positive one!!

WINTER 2009

Canada completes "One Million Acts of Green"

While spending the past week in Toronto, I happened to stumble across a TV show and concept that I found inspiring. The Canadian Broadcasting Corporation in partnership with Cisco (the world's leading networking co.) launched a campaign to see how many Canadians they could get to perform an act of green.  Withing a period of 105 days they reached their goal of one million and continue to surpass it.

I am hopeful that as the "green movement" spreads we can come together as a continent as well as a world in making our already amazing environment an even better place to live.  There are many small things we all can do and when we become a part of this "shift", the mass consciousness must follow.

For more information and list of acts, please type "one million acts of green" into your browser and view the website.  I'm sure there are many more ways to "go green", but I think this is a great start!

First Snowfall of the Season

Waking to the silence of the snowfall Tuesday morning in Maryland reminded me of my childhood days and the excitement the first sign of the fluffy white stuff would bring.  A day off from school, bundling up to brave the cold, breaking out the sleds and building the biggest snowman on the block!

As an adult though, the thought of of a winter wonderland outside can bring mixed feelings.  I hope that most of you don't have to dig deep to appreciate the beauty of it all.  If only for a fleeting moment it's hard not to notice the serenity that snow brings to everything it touches... the calmness of the ground covered in a crisp clean blanket, the stillness of the trees as they reach to catch as many flakes as will fit on their branches and the sound of silence in the air that is filled with shimmering crystals.  Even the birds have a brighter hue to them as they forage for seeds against the fresh new backdrop.

And as the reality of being a grown up sinks in once more, let's be sure we all take time out to notice... the world is amazing!
